The Latest In Medical Cannabis Research
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
I'm excited to introduce my new FREE weekly newsletter The BudMed Bulletin, dedicated to delivering the latest in medical cannabis research, insightful interviews, and comprehensive product reviews right to your inbox. The use of medical cannabis for treating a diverse array of conditions is rapidly gaining ground worldwide. It's time to get informed!
Welcome to My Medical Cannabis Journey and welcome to The BudMed Bulletin. For years I’ve been posting about medical cannabis, and many other things, on my X account. But my medical cannabis posts were getting lost amongst all the others, and I wanted a way to gather them together. In addition, I wanted to reach a wider audience outside of X. Hence my FREE weekly newsletter The BudMed Bulletin. Here, you'll find curated insights, latest research, and personal experiences with medical cannabis, all in one place.

Reefer Madness
If common myths about medical cannabis have you concerned, such as 'cannabis causes psychosis' or 'cannabis is a gateway drug,' rest assured. In the upcoming issues of The BudMed Bulletin, I will delve into medical and scientific evidence to demonstrate that these are indeed myths. We'll not only debunk these misconceptions but also highlight the therapeutic potentials of medical cannabis, always backed by the latest research. Stay tuned, and let's explore the truth together. If there's a particular myth or question about medical cannabis you want addressed, or if you have a personal story to tell, let me know for future issues! And remember, while we'll discuss general information, always consult with healthcare professionals for personal medical advice.

Marc Landers - Medical Cannabis Patient
My name is Marc Landers and my journey with medical cannabis began out of necessity. I suffer from Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis (DISH), a condition that causes significant back pain and stiffness due to abnormal bone growth in the spine and joints. Meanwhile, my son battles with the excruciating pain of Cluster Headaches.
Our search for pain relief led us to medical cannabis, which has provided us both with a quality of life we hadn't thought possible. This personal experience ignited my passion to explore, understand, and share the potential of medical cannabis with you.
We are not alone. Millions are finding relief through medical cannabis, yet access remains a privilege rather than a right. I'm fortunate to afford my medication, but many aren't.
Here in the UK, thanks to heroes like Charlotte Caldwell, whose son Billy's severe epilepsy was only manageable with cannabis, we've seen change. In June 2018, Charlotte's bold act at Heathrow not only returned her son's medication but also sparked a movement. Five months later, medical cannabis was legal. This story isn't just about legalisation; it's about the fight for quality of life. As we continue this journey, let's remember those still in the shadows, unable to access this life-changing treatment. How can we ensure everyone benefits from medical cannabis's potential? You can read Charolette and Billy's story here.
Hannah Deacon and her son Alfie, who also suffers from a rare form of epilepsy, found medical cannabis successfully treated his condition. Together, Hannah and Charolette campaign to get this life saving medication, prescribed on the UK's National Health Service (NHS). You can read Hannah's and Alfie's story here.
Sadly, immediately after medical cannabis was made legal in the UK, and a handful of NHS prescriptions had been issued, the door was slammed shut and no more prescriptions have been issued. Patients now have to pay for a private prescription, mothers are having to fund raise thousands monthly for their child’s medical cannabis and with some mothers even selling their homes to pay for their child’s medical cannabis. We have a saying in the medical cannabis community, "I'd rather be illegally alive, than legally dead." So, the fight goes on.
In this newsletter, we'll delve into:
The latest research on medical cannabis
Interviews with experts and patients alike
Debunk widespread and longstanding myths
Reviews of products that could make a difference
In subsequent issues I’ll explore the many conditions currently being treated with cannabis. These conditions include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), autism, cachexia, cancer, chronic pain, Crohn’s disease, epilepsy or condition causing seizures, glaucoma, HIV/AIDs, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, persistent/severe muscle spasm, persistent/severe nausea, PTSD, spasticity and many others. I’ll provide the latest medical and scientific knowledge, on how cannabis is being used to treat these conditions.
I'll also explore the persistent myths of 'Reefer Madness' and how contemporary science is actively debunking these outdated beliefs.

Medical Cannabis Patient
"To those who don’t “believe” in cannabis as medicine, I ask, “Do you know about the endocannabinoid system and what medical conditions are associated with its dysfunction?” If they cannot answer this question, they are not knowledgeable" Goldstein, Bonni. Cannabis is Medicine: How CBD and Medical Cannabis are Healing Everything from Anxiety to Chronic Pain (p. 26). Headline. Kindle Edition. "
If you still don’t believe, watch this miracle.
I'm here not just to inform but to build a community where we can learn from each other's experiences. Whether you're a patient, a care giver, or simply curious about medical cannabis, I'm glad you're here.
Let's embark on this journey together, exploring the healing possibilities of medical cannabis. If you received this from a friend and want to subscribe, go here Subscribe to the BudMed Bulletin. Be sure and share it with all your friends and family. You can also follow me on X @marclanders
