BREAKTHROUGH: CBD & THC Oils Show Promise in Fighting Canine Cancer!
Prostate cancer is a major killer in both humans and dogs, even when caught early. Dogs naturally get prostate cancer similar to human types, making them good for research. CBD and THC, from cannabis, can slow down cancer cell growth in dogs. In lab tests, CBD oils stopped cancer cell growth for different dog cancer cells. Both CBD and THC caused cancer cell death. Breakthrough Study Finds Cannabidiol Kills Cancer Cells, Induces Autophagy & Senescence!
Stopped Cancer Growth: CBD slowed down or stopped the growth of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) cells, preventing them from forming new colonies. Cell Cycle Pause: It made CCA cells pause at a certain point in their life cycle (G0/G1 phase), like putting them on hold. Self-Cleaning: CBD made the cells start cleaning themselves out by increasing the number of small structures (lipid droplets/vesicles) and changing how certain proteins operate (upregulating LC3BII, downregulating p62), essentially recycling their own parts. Pathway Interference: It interfered with key pathways (PI3K, AKT, mTOR) that usually help cells grow and multiply, stopping them from doing so. Mitochondrial Disruption: CBD messed with the cells' powerhouses (mitochondria) by increasing harmful molecules (ROS), lowering the energy they produce, and reducing their electrical charge. Cell Retirement: It forced some cells into retirement (senescence) by boosting proteins (p53 and p21) that tell cells when to stop dividing. Confirmed in Animals: These effects seen in lab dishes were also observed in animal models (xenografts), proving it's not just a test-tube phenomenon. Potential Therapy: All these actions suggest that CBD could be a new way to treat CCA by making cancer cells stop growing, start cleaning themselves up, or retire, targeting the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway. Revolutionary Discovery: Cannabis Oil Shows Major Improvements in Parkinson’s Motor and Non-Motor Symptoms!
“Considering Parkinson’s disease a neurodegenerative process, in this report we present a unique case where, in addition to slowing the progression of the disease, there was recovery of motor and cognitive functions in a patient with advanced stage Parkinson’s disease, after starting treatment with full-spectrum cannabis oil.” Source
Cannabis Compound CBD Triggers Cancer Cell Death in Colorectal Tumors!
CBD, a compound from cannabis, can kill colon cancer cells. It does this by turning on a process called the MAPK pathway. Through this pathway, CBD triggers three types of cell death: Apoptosis: Programmed cell death where cells self-destruct. Paraptosis: A type of cell death where cells swell and die. Autophagy: Cells eat themselves from the inside, leading to death. Source
Could Non-Hallucinogenic Cannabis (CBD, CBG, CBN) Compounds Be the Future of Pain Relief?
Pain Relief Potential: These compounds might be useful for managing pain because they interfere with Nav1.8, which is involved in sending pain signals. CBG Stands Out: Among these, CBG seems especially promising because it can significantly calm down nerve signals in pain-sensing parts of the body. Source
Breakthrough Alert: Cannabidiol Proves Effective and Safe for Treating Rare Genetic Disorder and Epilepsy
"Cannabidiol therapy, combined with dietary management, led to seizure freedom for over 13 months, significant EEG improvement, and enhanced developmental outcomes." Source
BREAKING: CBD Shows Promise in Early Psychosis Treatment - Safe, Well-Tolerated, and Potentially Anti psychotic!
Safe and Well-Tolerated: Initial clinical trials show CBD to be safe and well-tolerated in patients with psychosis. Potential Anti psychotic Effects: Evidence suggests CBD might have anti psychotic properties. Effective in Early Stages: There is an indication that CBD could be particularly beneficial for individuals at clinical high risk or experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Source
Unlocking the Brain's Secrets: Could Cannabidiol Be the Key to Treating Neuropsychiatric Disorders?
CBD's Wide-Ranging Benefits: CBD might help with various brain-related issues because it doesn't just focus on one problem. How It Works: Unlike typical drugs that hit one target, CBD influences many different parts of the body's cells at once. The 'Promiscuous' Nature: CBD's ability to interact with numerous molecular targets means it can adjust multiple body systems simultaneously. Balancing Act: By affecting these various pathways, CBD could help bring balance back to cells or brain circuits that are out of whack. Multiple Uses: This multitarget approach could explain why CBD has shown potential in: Reducing anxiety (anxiolytic) Preventing or reducing seizures (antiepileptic) Treating symptoms of psychosis (antipsychotic) Helping with addiction (anti-addictive) Source
Cannabis Compounds Team Up to Fight Breast Cancer!
Slowed Cell Growth: Cannabinoid agonists were shown to reduce how quickly breast cancer cells grow. Stopped Cell Cycle: These compounds also interfered with the normal progression of the cancer cell cycle. Less Invasion: Breast cancer cells had a harder time moving through the body's tissue barriers when exposed to these agonists. Altered Cell Movement: The formation of lamellipodia, structures cancer cells use to move, was disrupted. Enhanced Effect with Combo: Using both CB1 and CB2 agonists together made these anti-cancer effects even stronger. Source
