Could this cannabis compound be the key to saving your kidneys?

CBGA and CBD are substances that can help protect your kidneys. CBGA seems to work better than CBD at protecting the kidneys. CBGA's stronger effect might be because it: Reduces inflammation (swelling or irritation in the body). Prevents scarring or damage in the kidneys. Blocks a specific protein (TRPM7) that could harm the kidneys. Source

Does weed mess with your cancer treatment? New study on marijuana and immunotherapy might surprise you.

Researchers studied if cannabis affects the immune system in patients with different diseases. They focused on patients using immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), a cancer therapy. No major changes were found in important immune system markers, including those related to how ICIs function. This implies cannabis likely doesn’t disrupt ICI effectiveness. The findings could reassure patients and doctors thinking about combining cannabis with ICIs. Source

Cannabis Users May Fare Better After Heart Attacks, 20-Year Study Suggests

Cannabis users had a lower chance of experiencing cardiogenic shock (a life-threatening condition where the heart can't pump enough blood). They were less likely to have an acute ischaemic stroke (a type of stroke caused by blocked blood flow to the brain). They had a reduced risk of cardiac arrest (when the heart suddenly stops beating). They were less likely to need PCI (a procedure to open blocked heart arteries, often called angioplasty). They had a lower risk of dying while in the hospital. Source

From Lab to Life: Could CBD Be a Game-Changer in Fighting Deadly Brain Tumors?

How CBD Helps with Gliomas (a type of brain tumor): It can cause glioma cells (cancer cells) to self-destruct (a process called apoptosis). It disrupts the energy system of these cancer cells (mitochondrial dysfunction) and triggers a cleanup process (autophagy). It slows down the growth and spread of glioma cells. It reduces the ability of glioma stem cells (GSCs) to survive and thrive, which are often resistant to treatments. It helps kill off cancer cells overall. Additional Benefits: It makes glioma cells more sensitive to radiation and chemotherapy, improving their effectiveness. It protects healthy brain cells and functions, which is crucial during cancer treatment. It can help manage symptoms related to gliomas, improving quality of life. Source

Could CBD Oil Be the Secret Weapon Against Ovarian Cancer?

CBD slows down ovarian cancer cell growth by interacting with the CB1 receptor. Reduces fatty acids in cancer cells, impacting how they take up and make fats. Triggers ER stress, pushing cancer cells towards self-destruction. Source

CBD Reduces Seizures by Over 60% in Kids with Rare Epilepsy Syndromes!

At 6 months, there was a median reduction in motor seizures of 56.7%. At 12 months, this increased to a median reduction of 60.0%. Source
