Melanoma and cannabinoids: A possible chance for cancer treatment

Cannabinoids regulate key processes in the body. Due to this role, they’ve been studied for treating skin cancers and melanoma. Their anti-tumor effects help control skin cancer progression. These effects are mainly linked to: Inhibiting tumor growth Reducing proliferation Blocking invasion Limiting angiogenesis They achieve this through: Inducing apoptosis (programmed cell death) Triggering autophagy (cellular cleanup process) Source

Cannabis Users Outsmart COVID-19 with Better Outcomes and Lower Mortality Rates!

"Conclusion: Cannabis users had better outcomes and mortality compared with non-users. The beneficial effect of cannabis use may be attributed to its immunomodulatory effects." Source

Could Cannabinoids Hold the Key to Treating Brain Disorders?

They may protect against specific brain issues like: ferroptosis (cell death caused by iron buildup) problems with lactate metabolism (how the brain uses energy), and mitophagy (the process of clearing damaged mitochondria). Source

Could CBD Be a Game-Changer for Liver Cancer?

"A significant weakening of the ability of HCC cells to grow and metastasize in vitro and in vivo was observed upon CBD treatment." Source

Unlocking the Brain's Secrets: How CBD Could Halt Neuro degeneration!

Protein clumps are a key sign of brain diseases like Alzheimer's. These clumps cause inflammation and brain cell damage. CBD helps by reducing inflammation and damage through various pathways. CBD has shown benefits in treating different brain disorders. Source

Could a Tiny Dose of CBD Supercharge Your Immune System to Fight Pancreatic Cancer?

A small amount of pure CBD can help special immune cells (CIK cells) attack and kill pancreatic cancer cells, and it does this without causing extra unwanted effects in the cancer cells. This suggests that CBD might be a helpful tool in fighting pancreatic cancer, at least in the context of this study, by boosting the body’s immune response against the cancer. Source

DNA drugs, cannabinoids, and fasting unite to shut down colorectal cancer's sugar fuel.

Chemotherapy is commonly used for cancer but often doesn't improve long-term survival and causes side effects like nausea, loss of appetite, immune system issues, and metabolic changes due to its toxicity to healthy cells. Combining chemotherapy with non-psychoactive cannabinoids (like cannabidiol, cannabinol, and minor cannabinoids) and terpenes could be helpful. Cannabinoids work differently against cancer cells compared to chemotherapy and may reduce chemo side effects, improve sleep and appetite, and relieve pain. Another approach is limiting cancer cells' energy by reducing nutrient availability through calorie restriction or intermittent fasting. Cancer cells need a lot of energy and prefer using glucose (sugar) for energy through a process called fermentation instead of a more efficient method. Periodically reducing glucose availability could enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy (and possibly radiotherapy) when combined with cannabinoids, helping to kill cancer cells more effectively.
