Could cannabis hold the key to fighting ovarian cancer?
Cannabinoids like CBD and CBG stick tightly to a key cancer protein (HER2) and block its activity. CBD binds the strongest, even better than a common cancer drug, while CBG is a close second. CBG is the best at stopping the protein’s signals, with CBD not far behind. Both hook onto critical spots on the protein, messing up its function. In tests, CBD and CBG slowed the growth of HER2-positive ovarian cancer cells, matching traditional drugs. Source

Cannabis & HIV: Could Cannabis Be Rewiring Your Gut and Immunity?
Gut protection: Cannabis use seems to boost the immune system in your gut, making it better at fighting off threats. Calmer immune system: It also lowers overall immune activity, so your body isn’t overreacting or getting too inflamed. Unique gut bugs: Cannabis changes the mix of bacteria in your gut (the microbiome), giving it a distinct makeup compared to non users. HIV connection: There’s some early evidence that cannabis might affect how HIV hides in the body (called reservoirs). Source
Vaping or Smoking? Cannabis versus Tobacco. Shocking Breath Test Reveals How They Stack Up for Your Lungs!
Cannabis users: People using cannabis had inflammation chemical levels closer to non users, often lower than tobacco users. Their overall breath profile was also more like non users than tobacco users. Burning vs. vaping: When people smoked tobacco or cannabis (burning it), their breath had way more metabolites compared to non users. But those using e-cigarettes or vape pens (for nicotine or THC) had much lower levels of these metabolites. What it means: Smoking cigarettes seems to mess with lung chemistry more than cannabis or vaping. Vaping (whether nicotine or cannabis) has a smaller impact on the lungs’ chemical makeup compared to traditional smoking. In short, this study shows that regular cigarettes cause more lung changes than cannabis or e-devices, with vaping looking less harsh on the breath profile. Source
