Study reveals selective cannabinoid agonists show promising anti-cancer effects in pancreatic and breast cancer cells

Researchers tested special compounds (CB1/2 agonists) on pancreatic and breast cancer cells. These compounds slowed down the growth and spread of cancer cells. They also triggered the cancer cells to self-destruct (apoptosis). The more of the compound they used, the stronger the effect on stopping cancer cell growth and survival. The compounds worked by boosting a protein (Bax) that helps cancer cells die, while lowering another protein (Bcl-2) that keeps them alive. Source

"Men with a history of cannabis use had less cognitive decline from early adulthood to late midlife compared to men without a history of cannabis use.
