Could cannabis compounds be a game-changer for pancreatic cancer?

How they work: Cannabinoids may help stop cancer by: Triggering cancer cell death (apoptosis). Slowing cancer cell growth (cell cycle arrest). Blocking blood vessel growth that feeds tumors (anti-angiogenesis). Boosting the immune system to attack cancer. Reducing harmful stress in cells (oxidative stress). Key players: These effects happen through: CB-R1 and CB-R2 receptors found on pancreatic cancer cells. Other pathways (like MAPK, NF-κB, JAK/STAT) that control cell behavior. Source

Cannabis & Black Pepper Compounds May Fight Deadly Brain Tumors!

Which compounds were tested? Cannabis compounds: cannabichromene (CBC), cannabigerol (CBG), and cannabidiol (CBD). Black pepper-derived compounds. What were the results? The compounds strongly bound to GPR55 and PINK1, which are linked to glioblastoma. They showed toxic effects on tumor cells, meaning they could kill or stop the growth of cancer cells. Source

Could a cannabis compound protect your brain?

Findings: CBN didn’t harm the cells at any tested strength. It positively influenced processes related to handling stress and brain cell flexibility (neuroplasticity). Specific pathways affected include how cells respond to stress, react to changes, and guide nerve connections (axon guidance). Conclusion: CBN shows potential as a supportive treatment for brain diseases by helping nerve cells survive and improving how they connect. Source

Could CBD Be a Game-Changer for Hard-to-Treat Epilepsy?

66.6% (18 out of 27) had fewer seizures compared to before starting CBD. 7 people (25.9%) saw seizures drop by more than 75%, and 11 (40.7%) by more than 50%. Caregivers saw improvements in: Attention and alertness (44.4%, or 12 people). Sleep quality (18.5%, or 5 people). Movement or motor skills (11.1%, or 3 people). Source

Breakthrough for PTSD: UK study shows inhaling THC-heavy cannabis slashes symptoms, boosts sleep & mood in experienced users!

After 3 months, patients reported big improvements in their overall health, mood, and sleep quality. They also had fewer unwanted memories, better mood, and felt less on edge. These improvements stayed or got better after 6 months. Patients didn’t report any side effects from using the cannabis. Source

Could CBD Revolutionize Brain Injury Treatment?

How does CBD help? It has properties that reduce inflammation, fight oxidative damage (like rust in the body), and prevent seizures. CBD's role in TBI (traumatic brain injuries): Protects the brain by calming harmful processes. Supports brain communication systems, strengthens the barrier protecting the brain, reduces oxidative stress, and lowers inflammation. Source

Could CBD be the key to taming chronic inflammation?

CBD seems to boost anti-inflammatory eicosanoids through the 15-LOX enzyme. What are eicosanoids? Molecules made from certain fats in your body, like arachidonic acid. They help control inflammation, which is your body's response to injury or infection. This suggests CBD could be useful for treating conditions involving inflammation, like arthritis or autoimmune diseases. Source

THC & CBD could be game-changers for inflammation!

Researchers tested whether THC and CBD could calm down inflammation caused by activating certain immune triggers THC and CBD reduced inflammation by lowering IL-1β production, mainly by blocking a process involving a protein complex (inflammasome) and an enzyme (caspase-1). THC was more effective than CBD at reducing inflammation. Source

Could medical cannabis ease fibromyalgia pain AND gut issues?

77% of the FM patients had at least one gut disorder: 17% had IBS, 28% had FD, and 32% had both. FM symptoms got much better over the 6 months, based on a standard FM severity questionnaire. Gut symptoms like stomach pain, burning, abdominal pain, bloating, and feeling full also improved significantly over time. Source
