"Cannabis Cuts Migraine Symptoms in First Placebo-Controlled Trial"
Works for Cluster headaches too, which are a thousands times worse than migraines. "MINNEAPOLIS — In the first placebo-controlled trial of vaporized cannabis for acute migraine, patients experienced greater relief from pain and other symptoms than those receiving a placebo." Source
Could CBD be the key to fighting Alzheimer's & Parkinson's?
How can CBD help with NDs ( neurodegenerative disorders)? May reduce protein clumping, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Shows promise for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's by protecting brain cells. Also helps with other brain-related conditions like epilepsy, depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia. Can work alongside other standard treatments to improve results. Source
Study Shows 44% of Patients with Rare Epilepsies Cut Seizures by Half Using CBD!
Seizure reduction: After 3 months, 43% of patients had at least a 50% drop in total seizures. After 12 months, 44% had at least a 50% drop in total seizures. For a specific seizure type (generalized tonic-clonic), 54% saw a 50% drop at 3 months, and 48% at 12 months. The number of days with seizures per month dropped significantly, from 30 days to 18 days on average. Source
Groundbreaking Study Reveals How the Body’s Cannabinoid System Could Transform Treatment for Drug-Resistant Seizures!
Endocanabinoid System (ECS) and epilepsy: In kids with epilepsy, parts of the ECS (like CB1 receptors and natural cannabis-like chemicals in the body) don’t work properly, which may contribute to seizures but also offers chances for new treatments. Cannabidiol (CBD): A non-intoxicating part of the cannabis plant, CBD has been proven to help reduce seizures in tough-to-treat epilepsy types like Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, and Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. It’s an approved treatment for these conditions. Other ECS treatments: New approaches, like boosting the body’s own cannabis-like chemicals with special drugs (CB1 receptor modulators or FAAH/MAGL inhibitors), could help control seizures without directly overstimulating the brain. Personalized treatment: Targeting specific parts of the ECS, based on the type of epilepsy and where it affects the brain, could improve seizure control and reduce related mental health or developmental problems. Breakthrough: Purified CBD Cuts Seizures in Half for Over 50% of Kids with Severe Epilepsy!
50.6% of kids (279) had their seizures cut by more than half. 14.2% of kids (78) stopped having seizures completely. 19.1% (106) had some reduction in seizures but less than half. 6.2% (34) saw no change in seizures. Source
Breakthrough Cancer Treatment! New CBD-powered platinum drug (W5) obliterates resistant tumors, boosts anti-tumor effects 3.64x over CBD alone, and triggers cancer cell self-destruction.
Using CBD: Researchers created new drugs (W1-W6) by combining cisplatin with cannabidiol (CBD) and other active molecules to make them more effective. Better results: These new drugs worked better against various cancer cells compared to cisplatin alone. Star performer (W5): One drug, W5, combined with CBD and another molecule (DCA), was especially effective against cancer cells, including those resistant to cisplatin.W5 was much stronger than cisplatin and 3.64 times more effective than CBD alone in a resistant cancer type (A549R).
