Breakthrough: CBD May Slow Deadly Brain Cancer (GBM) by Boosting Stress Granules!

What Stress Granules Do: Stress granules (SGs) are like tiny storage units inside cells. They form when a cell is stressed (e.g., by a drug like CBD) and hold onto proteins and genetic material (RNA) that cells need to grow and divide. Trapping Growth Tools: When CBD increases SGs in GBM cancer cells, it traps the materials (like RNA and proteins) that the cancer cells need to keep growing and multiplying. Think of it like locking away the tools the cancer uses to build more cancer cells. Slowing Down Cell Division: Cancer cells, like those in GBM, grow and spread by dividing rapidly. With more SGs, the cancer cells get “stressed out” and can’t divide as quickly because their growth tools are stuck in these granules. Weakening the Cancer: By forming more SGs, CBD may make GBM cells weaker or less aggressive. This could stop the tumor from growing as fast or spreading to other parts of the brain. Helping the Body Fight Back: SGs can also signal the cell to slow down or even self-destruct (a process called apoptosis). This might help kill off some GBM cancer cells, reducing the tumor’s size or strength. Why It’s Promising: GBM is a fast-growing, aggressive cancer with few effective treatments. If CBD can increase SGs and slow down tumor growth, it could be a new way to fight GBM, giving doctors a better shot at controlling the disease. Source

Could CBD Fight Ovarian Cancer? Shocking Study Reveals It Boosts Cell Death & Blocks Cancer Growth!

At normal doses (like those a person might realistically take), CBD doesn’t seem to affect cancer cell growth much.

At these normal doses, CBD might encourage cancer cells to die naturally (a process called apoptosis).

At very high doses, CBD can slow cancer cell growth by boosting cell death pathways and blocking pathways that help cancer grow. Source

Surprising Study: Cannabis Users Show Less Cognitive Decline with Age!

What did they find? Men who used cannabis had less decline in their thinking skills from their 20s to their 60s compared to men who never used cannabis. Among cannabis users, starting to use cannabis at a younger age or using it often didn’t lead to worse declines in thinking skills. What’s the takeaway? In this group of men, cannabis use didn’t seem to harm their thinking skills as they aged over about 44 years. Source

Could Cannabis Be a Game-Changer for Depression?

Study Shows 51% of Patients Saw Symptoms Drop by Over 50% in 18 Weeks! On average, depression scores dropped from 6.9 (moderate to severe) at the start to 3.8 (milder) by week 18. About 51% of patients saw their depression score cut by more than half, showing a significant improvement. Source
