New study shows a potent cannabis mix outperforms pure THC in fighting breast cancer, hinting at a game-changing 'entourage effect' for better treatments.
Cannabinoids and cancer: Research shows that cannabinoids, active compounds from the cannabis plant, can fight cancer in lab and animal studies. Pure THC vs. cannabis mix: Most studies used pure THC (a main cannabis compound), but the cannabis plant has many other compounds that may work better together, known as the "entourage effect." Botanical drug preparation (BDP): A mix of cannabis compounds was tested and found to be more effective than pure THC in reducing tumor growth in lab and animal tests for three types of breast cancer: ER+/PR+, HER2+, and triple-negative. Could CBD Be a Game-Changer for Inflammation? New Review Shows It Tames Harmful Enzymes & Boosts Heart, Brain, and Immune Health by Balancing Nitric Oxide!
CBD may help with conditions caused by inflammation (swelling) and oxidative stress (cell damage from unstable molecules), which are linked to problems with nitric oxide (NO), a molecule important for many body functions. How does CBD work? Reduces harmful inflammation: CBD can lower the activity of a protein (iNOS) that causes inflammation when the body is stressed or sick. Supports healthy blood vessels: CBD helps maintain or increase the activity of a protein (eNOS) that produces nitric oxide to keep blood vessels working properly. Lowers cell damage: By balancing nitric oxide levels, CBD reduces damage to cells from oxidative stress. Improves brain health: CBD may reduce inflammation in the brain, which could help with neurological conditions. Source
New study of 178,948 pregnancies finds NO link between maternal cannabis use and child Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The study looked at 178,948 pregnancies from 146,296 women in Northern California who were part of Kaiser Permanente. After accounting for factors like the mother’s age, race, other drug use, health conditions, and when she started prenatal care, there was no clear link between cannabis use in early pregnancy and a child developing ASD. The results were similar whether cannabis use was reported or found through urine tests. No differences were found when looking at boys or girls separately. Source
Revolutionary Nanotech Breakthrough: Tiny Particles Deliver Cannabis & Cancer Drugs with Unmatched Precision!
Nanoparticles as tiny drug carriers: These are super small particles used to deliver drugs, like cannabis-based medicines or other pharmaceuticals, directly to where they’re needed in the body. Avoiding the digestive system: Instead of taking drugs by mouth, which go through the stomach and intestines, nanoparticles can deliver drugs in other ways, improving how well they work. Why skipping the gut matters: Drugs taken orally face challenges like stomach acid, food, hormones, and gut bacteria, which can break them down before they work. These factors vary from person to person, making it hard to predict how much drug will actually reach the bloodstream. Gut issues (like imbalances in gut bacteria) can make this problem worse, reducing the drug’s effectiveness. Benefits for cancer treatment: Using nanoparticles to deliver drugs directly (bypassing the gut) can make treatments safer and more effective, especially for conditions like cancer. Improved drug delivery: By avoiding the gut, nanoparticles help ensure more of the drug gets to the right place in the body, with fewer side effects and better results. Source
Scientists uncover cannabizetol, a powerful new cannabinoid in cannabis! Lab-made, it fights skin inflammation better than others & could revolutionize skincare.
New Compound Found: Scientists discovered a new substance called cannabizetol (CBGD) in cannabis extracts. It’s a rare type of cannabinoid, which is a chemical found in the cannabis plant. Third of Its Kind: Cannabizetol is only the third known cannabinoid with a specific structure (called methylene-bridged dimeric), making it unique. Confirmed with Lab-Made Version: To be sure it was a new compound, scientists used a lab-made version of cannabizetol to confirm it exists naturally in cannabis. Health Benefits: Cannabizetol has strong antioxidant properties (helps protect cells from damage) and is very effective at reducing skin inflammation, even more than another similar cannabinoid called cannabitwinol (CBDD). Potential for Skin Products: Because of these properties, cannabizetol could be used in skin care products to help with inflammation or other skin issues. Source
