Could Cannabis Fight Cancer? Shocking Study Reveals How It Slows Breast, Colorectal & Prostate Cancer Growth!

Cannabis and breast cancer (BC): BC cells have cannabinoid receptors. Studies in animals show cannabinoids can kill cancer cells, stop them from growing, and prevent them from spreading. THC and JWH-133 (a drug that activates CB2 receptors) slowed tumor growth in mice with BC. Cannabis and colorectal cancer (CRC): CBD reduces the survival of CRC cells that resist chemotherapy. CBD blocks a receptor (GPR55) needed for cancer to spread (metastasis). CBD reduces blood vessel growth in tumors (anti-angiogenic effect) by lowering vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). CBD also reduces inflammation, which can help fight cancer. Cannabis and prostate cancer (PC): PC cells have lots of CB1 and CB2 receptors. Cannabinoids stop the release of tiny particles (exosomes and microvesicles) that help cancer grow. Cannabinoids slow cancer cell growth, stop them from invading other tissues, reduce tumor-supporting tissue (anti-fibroblastic), halt cell division, and trigger cancer cell death (proapoptotic effects). New study of 150K+ people finds NO link between recreational cannabis use and atrial fibrillation risk!

Results: The average participant was about 63 years old, and 57% were women. About 22% of participants had used cannabis at least once. After adjustments, there was no significant difference in AF risk between:Occasional users (risk almost the same as non-users). Frequent users (risk also similar to non-users). Conclusion: This large study found no evidence that recreational cannabis use increases the risk of developing AF. Source

Cannabis Compound CBD & Its Supercharged Cousin 4’-F-CBD Smash Brain Cancer Cells, Even the Toughest Ones!

What did they find? CBD and 4’-F-CBD can kill cancer cells, even the ones that ignore TMZ. Mixing them with TMZ-like drugs worked way better than using them alone. 4’-F-CBD teamed up especially well with one drug (T25). They found CBD messes with the cancer’s DNA in a new way, which helps stop it. Why’s this a big deal? This is the first time they showed 4’-F-CBD can fight cancer and work great with other drugs. They learned more about how CBD attacks cancer, which could help make better treatments. Source

Could CBD Revolutionize Leukemia Treatment? New Study Shows Cannabidiol Triggers Cancer Cell Death and Boosts Immune Response in CML Cells!

Key Findings: CBD changed the activity of many genes (3518 after 12 hours, 3433 after 4 hours). It affected genes involved in: Oxidative Stress: Genes (like MT1, MT2, SLC30A2) that help cells handle harmful molecules. Cell Death: Genes (like TP53TG3, DDIT4, BBC3, CHAC1, NOXA1, DAPK2) that trigger cancer cell death via a process called apoptosis. Immune System: Altered pathways (like type I interferon, PI3K-Akt-mTOR, and Toll-like receptor) that influence how the immune system fights cancer. Metabolism: Changed processes related to fat (lipid) metabolism and energy production in mitochondria (cell powerhouses). Implications: CBD shows potential to broadly affect leukaemia cells by boosting immune responses, killing cancer cells, and altering cell metabolism. Source
